Summer isn’t too far away and hopefully this year we should be able to travel a bit more than we have been able to the last couple of years! Have you already planned your summer holiday? If not, there is still plenty of time to think about it and consider all of your options for a fun holiday.
First of all, what type of holiday do you want? There are so many different types of trips; you could be spoilt for choice. From a break with all the family to a romantic couple’s weekend away. Here are a few great ideas.

Family Holiday
If you’ve wanted to take the whole gang away, plan a fun-filled family holiday. You should organise plenty of activities to keep all the kids entertained. To make things easier on you and your partner, think about booking a week at a holiday resort. They will often organise day trips and kid club events that you can sign up for once you arrive. If you want to take your canine friend with you, you’ll also find a lot of dog-friendly holiday parks, both at home and abroad.
Adventure Holiday
If you love being active, consider going for an adventure! Head to Europe for some fabulous skiing in the Alps, heading from Geneva to Courchevel where you can experience Michelin-starred dining and incredible skiing on world-renowned perfect pistes!
Take a trip to Scandinavia for some unbeatable hikes through the area’s bracing countryside. Or stay in the UK and sample all of the walking and mountain biking that our very own country has to offer! If you want a real adventure, travel further afield to far-off locations like for a trek through the Sahara Desert or the rainforest.
Beach Holiday
If work has been getting you down lately, you could do with some time away from it all to relax and chill out. So a beach holiday could be right up your street! You can spend your days sunbathing on the beach and taking a dip in the sea before spending your evenings lying in hammocks and sampling exotic cocktails. There could also be the chance of taking part in some exciting water sports! There are many European destinations that offer fantastic beaches and weather. Don’t forget to pack your bikini!
Romantic Getaway
Pack up a mini suitcase for your kids and send them for a weekend at their grandparents – you and your partner are going away for a romantic break! If you need to reignite the flame in your relationship, spending a few days alone can help you rekindle your romance. Book a few nights in a couple’s hotel so you know you won’t be disturbed by any children whatsoever. Most feature cosy rooms with four-poster beds and hot tubs!
European City Break
If you like the sound of jetting off somewhere but would rather not spend all your holiday on the beach, think about a European city break. As Europe is only a budget flight away, it is now cheaper to get on the continent than ever before! Where would you like to explore? Rome and all its ancient history? Or cosmopolitan Copenhagen? Or how about sampling Parisian culture? The choice is all yours!
Once you’ve picked your perfect holiday, it’s time to find your passport and start packing!
